This rare Indonesian cannibal film (Only released on the double feature DVD above called "Tales Of Voodoo Vol. 2" by Video Asia.) which stars Barry Prima is about three students, Tommy, Rita, and Robert, and their guides who head into the jungle to study primitive tribes separated from civilization. However, the students say the one tribe they visit isn't primitive enough, and they want to find some real savages, and to locate the legendary cannibal tribe supposedly living in the area. The guide reluctantly agrees, and they are all soon separated in a raft accident. Robert and Rita are captured by the cannibals and held prisoner, while Tommy and their guide wander aimlessly through the jungle, looking for their lost companions.

SOunds kind of interesting. Having seen Cannibal holocaust, though, I've never seen another cannibal film that was even close to that good

When watching Cannibal films you should never compare them to CH all the time or you will never have any fun. Anyways this movie is probably one of the worst cannibal films I have seen, but it is fucking hilarious. I got the DVD from Video Asia pictured above for like $6.00 and Im glad I didn't pay anymore cuz the transfer makes it look like you are watching a bootleg VHS. Anyways there were some parts I laughed really hard at.

I've heard terrible things about those Tales of Voodoo double feature discs. They are taken from bad quality VHS tapes, and many of them have subtitles burned into the picture etc. Still, there are some very rare and interesting movies they've brought to DVD so I'm still interested in some of them, the one with The Rapist on it among others, I just have very low expectations for the quality.

Yea I knew about that too when purchasing them. If you read the DVD packaging on the back the company even makes fun of themselves saying things like "Stiff as wood menu's!". lol. I picked up the first to Volumes because the titles seemed interesting and they were both pretty cheap.

Yeah, for the price they're charging at DDD it's something like $3.65 or so per movie, so it's hard to complain.

Yea I wish I could shop at DDD. I don't have a credit card and my parents are really freaked out about using theirs on the net. So I just use places like ebay or xploitedcinema.com where I can use money orders.

Yeah, it's really cool to be able to order online. Try to convince your parents!!! hehe That stuff really is safe to do! Hell, I do it all the time.
Xploited cinema is too spendy for me for the most part. They have some cool stuff, but I'd love to see their prices come down a bit. I think they're doing pretty well, maybe they'll be able to afford a reduction in their prices at some point.

Yea I know. I don't order from them to often though, because of that. I can usually do good finding my stuff on ebay. I always use stores on ebay though because I don't trust individual sellers. lol

Yeah, ebay's a good place to go. I've gotten a lot of my Asian stuff from there. Used to get stuff from 'em more than I do now.
