I am going with Dawn. 28 Days Later was not a zombie film. Those people were diseased but not dead. Dawn was then film that really detailed the complete collapse of our civilization. you saw how the zombies affected the city, the country, and the suburbs. You saw how our infrastructure collapsed immediaely under the weight of the crisis. It was the most apocalyptic vision in any of the films IMHO and showed zombies taking over the planet. the other films were either about the beginning of an outbreak or an outbreak after most of the planet was dead already. Dawn was about the human race being over powered

I voted 28 Days Later as well. Sure they're not the typical zombie and many say they're not zombies at all, but oh well. Seeing as how zombies aren't real, and are fictional entities, who's to say what are zombies and what aren't. Maybe the "infection" immediately kills you and you immediately become a zombie. Either way, whatever these people were before they became infected is dead in one way or another. Dawn of the Dead is my favorite zombie movie but the zombies were kind of slow and weak. I mean that's the best and most convincing kind of zombie in my opinion, but I wouldn't say they're hard. Sure they had overtaken most of the planet supposedly, but that was over how long...ten years? And after 10 years there were still television stations running at the beginning. The zombies in 28DL overran the entire UK in just a few weeks.

Yup 28 days later for me as well..
What makes a zombie a zombie? the most common fable in zombie movie folklore the way i see it is when humans have been subseptable to some unknown virus or desease like a strange meteor crash. I now that zombies are supposed to become from black magic rising the dead again, but in the movies they "turn" with radiation, toxic waste, meteor crashes.. So really the zombies in 28 days later are just as acceptable in my eyes with there " Rage" virus than any other zombie in any other Zombie flick..
They look like zombies and if ya get bit by one of them, ya "turn" so i recon they are in all.. Zombies!
lol...
Plus they are way better than the dawn remake zombies..
In my opinion...
lol

The Dawn Of The Dead Zombies.
They had strength in numbers, and could only be killed by a head shot.

I pick Zombie Flesh Eaters. The people in 28 Days Later were not zombies, and I mean c'mon people...Dawn Of The Dead '78 was a great movie and one of the best zombie films but the zombies looked like total crap. Seeing this is a fight over the zombies then there is no choice but to go with the zombies from Fulci's classic. They look like zombies should, they walk and stumble, and they tear you apart.

Uh no dude. Remember the boat ride home and the radio broadcast that says Zombies are taking over New York and then it shows them. So take that!
Oh and hangman....they just have a virus in 28 Days Later. In a zombie film (unless its about the voodoo ones) I though the person had to die and come back to life. Also someone else pointed out on another forum (maybe HNT or GL) that the people who have the virus in 28 Days Later starve if they don't eat and real zombies they don't starve.

I guess you are right. The takeover of New York was depicted kind of ridiculously "They are breaking down the door!!! Argh!!" But they did depict it so oyu win on that point.
And cheers for agreeing on the obvious fact that the 28 Days Later infected were not zombies
