Everyone needs to see this movie! It is a fascinating look at the world of metal from an anthropological perspective. It focused on all kinds of metal, ranging from Motorhead to church-burning Norwegian black metal. There were interviews with Lemmy, Dio, Dee Snyder, some satan worshipping Norwegian guys, Rob Zombie, Slayer, Alice Cooper, Bruce dickinson, Mayhem, Geddy Lee, Lamb of God, Tom Morello and many more. It even mentions my favourite band...Cannibal Corpse! I really hope it goes beyond a limited Canadian release and gets a good DVD treatment. www.metalhistory.comThe soundtrack is amazing, featuring everyone from Blue Cheer to Slayer. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EHS4P2/qid=1146950948/sr=11-1/ref=sr_11_1/104-1507249-9789515?n=5174 Here is a link to the Amazon.com listing, which I will be sure to get: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EGEJIY/ref=pd_ecc_rvi_1/104-1507249-9789515?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance&n=130

Yea I know! I have been waiting forever for this to hit DVD. It hits DVD on May 23rd in a special 2 disc DVD set if Im not mistaken. I also love Cannibal Corpse man! Kinda sucks that the doco covers crappy nu-metal bands like Slipknot and stuff, but it still sounds sweet.

My-52-year old dad loved it, and he likes to listen to gospel music at times.

I was going to go to the store tomorrow to pick it up, because I have $20.00. However I'm an aspiring filmmaker and I found a Super 8 mm camera on ebay.com. I'm gonna try to win it. Must have it!

Just downloaded it the other day and watched it cuz I couldn't wait. It was pretty entertaining. I wish they would have spent more time on Black Metal and Death Metal though. Those rarely get covered, but instead they wasted most of their time on Glam and stuff. lol..the interview with Mayhem didn't really go over to well. That's a shame cuz it could have been cool.

If you buy it, the 2nd disc has a extended feature on Norwegian black metal as well as extended interviews with most of the people.
