Favorite musics from them : Enter Sandman Sad But True Nothing Else Matters Forgot the rest, but these 3 I greatly loved to listened to. Back in the teen years,me & my cousin Jason have always listened 'Metallica' 24/7. He introduced me to it & ever since loved these band.

I liked them before they became a generic hard rock band.
They sold out to the man.

St. Anger was weak.

St. Anger was just pure crap. I have listened to their earlier thrash stuff and it's pretty great, but when you get into their later stuff....ewww. Not a huge fan of them, but I will say their best song is Disposable Heroes and it is one of my favorite songs in general.

It's ok, but it's nothing compared to Disposable Heroes.

I also like their Garage Inc. album.
It has some quality cover songs.

Justice was the last good Metallica album. The Black album blows jsut as bas a Load and St. Anger and the rest of that shite. THe best Metallica song IMHO is Fade toBlack, but Disposable Heroes is also pretty sweet

I like Disposable Heroes more because of the pure thrash sound of the song and it has some of the best lyrics ever.

nah, it was a bunch of winey pretentious rich rock stars who have forgotten everything about where they came from and believe way too much of their own hype

Yeah, Some kind of Monster is a joke!!! I can't believe they've turned into such douches. It wasn't till I saw that thing that I fully realized WHY they had sold out the way they had. They are miles away from the metalhead thrashers that they used to be. They are even worse than I thought actually. It's not just that their taste in music has changed, they are old men who only care about money. The whole thing is basically "do whatever it takes to get an album out there so we can make some money." That should be the tagline actually! The way they made that album was to just try like a million riffs and put the "best" ones on the record, not because that's a good way to get good music, but because the guys can't stand each other anymore, and they are unable to sit down and actually write songs. "Just record something, otherwise we won't get paid!!" Actually recording good music that is emotionally fulfilling to them doesn't factor into their thinking for a second on that whole documentary. Bah.
Anyway, the pre-black ablum stuff is great, then it went way downhill. Their best for me is Ride the Lightning. I was bigtime obsessed with that album for years as a youngster.

They should retire soon and count their money.

Yea they definitely have enough money. If I were them I would retire too before they hurt their career more.

Good point.
They don't want to become a joke in music history.

Too Late for them. Between their post Justice output, some of the absurdly obnoxious interviews that Lars has given, and the whole anti-napster thing, they are pathetic and laughable

I don't see them as musicians anymore.
I see them as opposition to file sharing.
