I have ton's of Mp3's on my computer and have been meaning to start up a CD collection forever. Well finally I'am. I have the Draped in Treachery 2 disc set which comes with Necrophagia- Cannibal Holocaust and Viking Crown- Banished Rythmic Hate. I also have the new Black Sabbath Greatest Hits CD. Be warned this CD messes up Iron Man. They like cut the song very short or somthing. I only bought it because it was $10.00. I also have Enthroned- Black Goat Ritual coming in the mail. Then today I bought Satyricon- Dark Medieval Times and Immortal- Battles in the North. So I have like 5 CDs now! lol

The last CD I bought was Blood Ritual's The Black Grimoire. Good stuff, they aren't reinventing the wheel by any means, but they have some really good riffs, and they aren't another gay Suffo-clone. They are in the style of Morbid Angel, but are not a total rip-off.
I haven't been listening to as much of this kind of shit lately, so it was cool to go back to it. They are ultra-satanic, and the disc I got is in a digi-book package, with a bunch of satanic ritual directions in it. Real neat packaging.

Darkthrone- Panzerfaust

That's my favorite Darkthrone album. I really like the Celtic Frost influence on it. It has that very Frost-esq sound, but it mixes it well with their black metal sound, which is something that I think nobody else has ever been able to pull off. Everyone else who tries it fails, and ends up sounding like a CF ripoff.

Yea. I still need to listen to it. I can't wait to hear it! I was looking for Transylvanian Hunger, but I couldn't find it. I really wanted to get a Darkthrone album and the only ones there were Ravishing Grimness, Total Death, and Panzerfaust. I was about to get Total Death, but then I caught "True Norwegian Black Metal" on the back of Panzerfaust so I knew I had to get that one. lol

Ministry - Rio Grande Blood
Brilliant politically charged industrial thrash record. By far Ministry's heaviest yet. This one makes Slayer's Reign in Blood sound positively slow and subdued incomparison. A really brilliant record, but absolutely not for the politically conservative

Sounds like my kind of album then. Just bought Emperor's Scattered Ashes, which is sort of like a greatest hits CD. It's a 2 disc set. I haven't gotten a chance to listen to it yet. I also just found out about this U.S. Black Metal band called Typhus. They have an LP coming out on 06/6/06. At their site www.darkhorizon666.com you can pre-order a limited edition box set that comes with a Typhus shirt, the 12' LP, a patch & logo pin, a poster, and a couple of other weird but funny goodies. It's $25.00 plus $4.50 shipping. I'm gonna save up two weeks and try to pre-order it. If your interested in this package or the band I would like to tell you that you shouldn't take them seriously. Their music is pretty sweet if your into Black Metal, but the song titles and lyrics can be extremely offensive, especially to Christians. So if you know how to loosen up and listen to Black Metal without getting mad, then you should check them out. I have only heard one song by the way and I thought it was good.

damn! I can't believe I put off listening to Ministry for so long! I hate myself for doing that. They fucking rule! I downloaded Rio Grande Blood and it is awsome! I was surprised to hear they wrote a song about the 911 conspiracy I was talking about at HMAM. Definitely one of my favorite bands now.

Mine too. You should check out some of their other albums. they used to be more of an industrial band and they have slowly incorporated metal into their sound. The three all time classic Ministry albums are Land of Rape and Honey, The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste, and Psalm 69. If you like Ministry, you should also check out some of Al Jourgensen's side projects. He is also behind the 1000 Homo DJ's, Revolting Cocks, and Lard (with Jello Biafra).
